Last Day....

I wasn't able to post this yesterday as we went from activities straight to the train and didn't have internet until we returned to school.

Up again early for breakfast. After breakfast we all had to get our bags out of our rooms and check out of the hotel. We couldn't believe it was our last day! 

Back in the vans we got, and off to Mae Sa Craft Village to paint our umbrellas. The craft village is located in a beautiful resort in the hills surrounding Chiang Mai city. 

We got our instructions, chose our umbrella colours and got down to the challenging (for some of us) and exciting task of being creative. We were given some paper to sketch our ideas before drawing our final design onto our umbrellas. 

Once we had our designs on the umbrellas in pencil, it was time to start painting. There were a couple of people there with us to help us choose and mix colours and teach us some drawing technique. There is so much creativity in our group!

After we'd all finished, we left our umbrellas to be packed up and went up to the restaurant for lunch. 

Some of us still had money burning a hole in our pockets so we got our umbrellas and headed to a souvenir shop where we bought all sorts of goodies to take home with us. Then back to the train station and back to Bangkok.

Our train actually got in early!!! So we were able to catch the free for Thai people train back to Sattahip. 

I think it's safe to say that a great time was had by all!

Now to get through the last week of school....
